One of the colors of the royal ones, the Lapis Lazuli was greatly regarded as one of the symbols used by the royal families in Egypt, high priests and as an ornament to the burials of kings and queens.
Not only in Egypt but Lapis Lazuli stone was also known to Islam as a protective stone; in ancient Persia, it was a symbol of a starry night; and among Buddhists, it is acknowledged to attract inner peace.
The tassel represents the six-syllable mantra OM MA NE PAD ME HUNG. Each syllable has its complex meaning. The syllables close certain sufferings coming from its respective source; such as the suffering from the human realm, pain coming from a desire.
The Buddha’s head represents the wisdom, enlightenment, and a depiction of his greatness. His visage features a friendly individual with great wisdom, compassion, and happiness.
This set is composed of Lapis Lazuli serving as malas, a guide to chanting mantras. In addition to these special stones, the six-syllable mantra tassel is also combined to represent impurities and draw out negative energies from different sources. Enclosing and bonding the edges with the Buddha’s head, a reminder of the morals of life, wisdom, and awareness of each action and thought.
